These terms govern your use of Aangan. You accept them, and the privacy policy, by ticking the box when you create your account.

What the app is — and is not

• The app gathers and analyses property information from available sources. It is not a government authority, and information availability varies by state and source.
• Checks, summaries, answers and translations are for information. They are not a legal opinion, a title certificate or a guarantee. Before buying, selling or lending against a property, have an advocate review the documents.
• Records shown as demo data are fictional.

Your account

• Keep your phone and sign-in codes secure. You are responsible for activity on your account. You must be 18 or older.

Your content

• You keep ownership of the documents you upload. You give us permission to store and process them only to provide the app to you.
• Upload only documents you are entitled to hold and share. Do not upload anything unlawful or anything that belongs to someone else without their permission.

Document orders and payments

• Fees are shown before you pay: government fees at cost (estimates), our service fee, and GST on the service fee.
• If a document cannot be obtained, you get a full refund for that document. If the office charges less than the estimate, the difference is refunded. The refund policy (/legal/refund) has the details.
• Some documents can only be issued to the owner; we will ask for the owner’s consent where required.

Acceptable use

• Do not misuse the app: no scraping, no attempts to access other people’s data, and no use to harass or defraud anyone.

Liability

• We work to keep information accurate and the app available, but records come from third parties and can be incomplete or out of date. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for decisions made only on the basis of the app.

Ending use

• You can stop using the app and delete your account at any time. We may suspend accounts that break these terms.

Law and disputes
